KNBC-TV (DMA #2) Meteorologist (October 2014 - Present)

• 2015-2016 Emmy® Award Winner (Educational Special: El Niño - Currents of Change)
• Certified Remote Pilot - Can operate or supervise the operations of commercial unmanned aircraft systems.
• Extensive breaking news coverage for major fires, flooding, and earthquakes.
• Part of team that designed mobile doppler radar unit (StormRanger), and primary in-house radar operator.
• Built all current weather graphics and led design of the dual 7-day.
• Live hits and community appearances in a multipurpose weather vehicle (4x4Caster).


KCRA-TV (DMA #20) Meteorologist (June 2011 - October 2014)

• 2013-2014 Emmy® Award Winner (Crafts Achievement: Weather Anchor)
• Weekend Morning/Weekday Noon meteorologist.
• Weather Producer for 4.5-hour morning show with on-air weather sidebars.
• Live remote weather reports to provide viewers with a local look at the weather.
• Built all the 2011-14 graphics on the new WSI TruVu Max Storm system, including custom Live Lineups, custom 3D models, and innovative picture-in-picture graphics with live video.
• Implemented exclusive custom content that pushed the system past the stock configuration.
• Storm chased/reported during May 18-20, 2013 Tornado Outbreak in Oklahoma.
• Covered winter storms, heat waves, dense fog, flooding, severe weather and earthquakes/tsunamis, in a meteorologically challenging market.
• Contributed to the coverage of the Asiana Crash at SFO using my background in aviation.
• Provided several radio stations with recorded and live forecasts.
• Updated KCRA's online platforms (Facebook, LiveWire microblog, website) with forecasts and webcasts.

KCRA-TV (DMA #20) Weather Intern/Producer (June 2009 - June 2011)

• Multiple live hits during several Sunday morning broadcasts as an intern.
• Weather Producer for breaking Severe Weather Coverage (during several tornado warnings).
• Part of the team that created a new virtual set and ShowFx graphics package for all weather segments.
• Ran graphics building and show when meteorologists were on location.
• Reported live, via phone from New York, on the December 2010 East Coast Blizzard and from Storm Chase Trip (2011).

WSI Training & Graphic Building

KNBC-TV (DMA #2 Los Angeles, CA - NBCUniversal Television)
• Trained meteorologists on MAX Storm, built new graphics, and trained traffic anchor on MAX Traffic. (2 visits)
WCAU-TV (DMA #2 Philadelphia, PA - NBCUniversal Television)
• Trained meteorologists on MAX Storm and built a custom suite of graphics. (2 visits)
KVOA-TV (DMA # 71 - Tucson, AZ - Cordillera Communications)
• Built new weather graphics and designed interactive elements for touch screen.
KNBC-TV (DMA #101 Ft. Smith-Fayetteville-Rogers, AR - Hearst Television)
• Trained meteorologists on MAX Storm and built a custom suite of graphics. Also led the redesign of a new 7-day forecast style for two cities.
